Day Tour Angkor Wat By Bike

ITINERARY

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Siemreap, Cambodia. The complex was built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Angor Wat served as the state temple as well as the capital city. On this trip we will explore the temple ruins by bike and enjoy a picnic lunch at the foot of the famous Ta Phrom temple.

DAY TRIP 35KM CYCLING (L)

In the morning, we’ll depart from the hotel as a group. We’ll take the main road and cycle through the Angkor pass checkpoint. This route is enjoyable, and relaxing one, as the roads are shady and well maintained.

Upon entering the Angkor Wat complex, you will first see the Kravan Wat. Then, Banteay Kdei and the famous Ta Phrom, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and overgrown vegetation. (Archaeologists decided to leave the vegetation of Ta Phrom in place to serve as a reminder of how the original discoverers found it and the other Angkor temples.) We’ll visit Ta Phrom for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, so that you may fully appreciate its history.
