3 Days Siem Reap to Angkor Wat Heritage By Bike
ITINERARY
Angkor Wat is the epitome of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag; it is the country's prime attraction for visitors. On our three-day tour you will visit the magnificent temples at Angkor Wat, cycle scenic routes on our way to visit the first capital of the Angkor Empire, Rolous Group, and lunch beneath the historic carvings at Banteay Srei.
DAY 1: Angkor Wat Circuit 25+km (L)
We take the main road and cycle to the Angkor Wat complex, where you will first see the Kravan Wat and the Banteay Kdei. Then, we enjoy lunch at the foot of the famous Ta Phrom, which is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and overgrown vegetation.

DAY 2: Rolous Group & Tonle Sap Lake 50+km (B, L, D)
Morning trip to Rolous Group, the first capital of the Angkor Empire during 800 A.D. We cycle rural paths, and enjoy views in the countryside. Afterward, we’ll visit some pre-Angkorian temples including Preak Ko, Bakong and Lo Lei. In the afternoon, we cycle to Tonle Sap Lake.

After breakfast, we cycle west for about 2km to Angkor Wat, then we take a rural route to Banteay Srei. While some temples are impressive because of their sheer size, Banteay Srei stands alone in the quality of its construction and decoration. Its pink sandstone walls are decorated with what some consider to be the best-preserved carvings. Enjoy a picnic lunch on site.
